The recto of the first folio has an invocation yā kabīkaj and two uninteligible notes.
The main text is followed by a prayer for the prophet Muḥammad in the form (forty verses) beginning: al-ṣalāh wa-al-salām 'alayka yā rasūl Allāh.
The copy is anonymous and dated probably late 12/18th century.
The margins carry marks relating to the division of the text such as juz', sajdah, niṣf, rub', thalāthat arba' and the letter 'ayn.
The text is enclosed in two red and one blue rules.
Sūrah-headings and recitation marks in red ink.
Fully vocalized Naskh script using tarwīs only on the alif of lām alif al-waraqīyah.
11 lines per page, brown wove non-European paper of wove texture and very flocculent.
Manuscript.
Was obtained by C. Bryant at Tirah on the North-Western Indian frontier in 1897.
