The third of 17 works printed by Ibrahim Müteferrika, "müteferrika" (house steward) to Sultan Ahmed III, and first printer of moveable Arabic type under Islamic auspices. Müteferrika was born in Kolozsvár, Transylvania sometime between 1672 and 1675, and converted to Islām after moving to Constantinople as a young man.
