The first ms., Père Marquette's Illinois prayer book by Alloüez, is now owned by J. L. H. Neilson; a facsimile of the ms. was published in 1908 by the Quebec Literary and Historical Society. The second ms., a Montagnais dictionary by Antoine Silvy, was, according to Sasseville, in the possession of John Neilson of Ste. Foye, son of Hon. John Neilson, when the present work was issued.
