McGill Library Rare Books and Special Collections copy is incomplete: 29 leaves are within the album, and 17 are loose; not each description has a corresponding photograph; some leaves are blank, having had descriptions and photographs removed.
Typed description of each painting (22 x 27 cm, mounted on a leaf of 30 x 42.5 cm) is accompanied by a leaf or two of photographs (some sepia, some modern) of various dimensions, mounted on a card.
Catalogue of chiefly Dutch and Flemish 17th to 18th century paintings of various provenance. It includes detailed description of the original, its provenance (name of gallery or former owner) and authentification, exhibition history and bibliographic references. Some of the works were offered previously at auction sales organized by Antiquitätenhaus Wertheim, Berlin (see Sammlung Geheimrat Joseph Cremer, Dortmund (1929)).
