The Plumptre ed. was first pub. in 1826. Lovett, R.W. Robinson Crusoe, lists two Society eds., an unexamined 1850 ed. (406) and an 1882 reissue (645). NUC pre-1956 also lists an [1850?] (0118298, v. 136, p. 597) and an [1882?] (0118467, v. 136, p. 603) edition. The British Museum Defoe catalog lists a [ca.1850?] ed. None of these descriptions exactly match the copy in hand.
