- Summary
-
Pressure tests were conducted on a standard hypervelocity ballistic model HB-2 in the 40 in. supersonic Tunnel A of the von Karman Gas Dynamics Facility. Data were obtained at Mach numbers 1.5, 3, and 5 at angles of attack of 0, 3, 5, 10, and 15 deg, and at Mach numbers 2 and 4 at zero angle of attack. Reynolds number, based on the centerbody diameter, ranged from 0.32 x 1,000,000 to 2.3 x 1,000,000. Pressure distributions are presented, and a comparison is made of force and moment coefficients obtained from integrated pressure data with results from previous force tests on this model. (Author).
