Manuscript is a medical treatise attributed to a physician, and contains treatments and remedies for a variety of ailments of the time. Types of recipes include: syrups, broths, distillates, plasters, pills, oils, unguents, and more. These treatments are listed for helping with various illnesses including measles, hemmorhoids, syphylis, ulcers, and the plague. Of interest is also the use of many ingredients acquired from the Indian subcontient, Afghanistan, South America, and the Carribean.

Manuscript is in a neat but sloping 16th century Italian hand, with leaf numbers in same hand in upper right corner, and corrections made to several portions of text. Last two gatherings are excised, but text appears to be complete.
