Purchased in London in 1924 by Casey A. Wood as part of a collection of watercolours and donated to the Blacker-Wood Library of Zoology and Ornithology
aPainting shows a side view of angelfish with dark grey and black fins, yellow-orange tail, and light-coloured side. Pencil inscriptions on mat read, "Holocanthus xanthurus" and "Kinārbi."
Inscriptions on drawing: a small number "36" (pencil) and inscription in Tamil written in Urdu script (ink).
Common name: Yellowtail angelfish.
Species name from World Register of Marine Species: Apolemichthys xanthurus.
