Includes Engish translation of title, colophon and marginal notes by Professor Naguib Chaker, as well as a covering note by Casey Wood (dated February 11, 1935): "This copy of ... Taḍkirat al Kaḥḥalin ... was purchased in Damascus for me by Prof. Rustum of the American University of Beirut about Septr. 1934."
Maqalah 1, chapters 4 and 5 were omitted by the copyist.
Copied in 1260/1844 for Muḥyī al-Dīn Daqqāq. Quires are signed (kurrās plus numeral) on verso of each opening folio.
Dimensions of text block: 135 x 90 mm
14 lines per page. Written in a Syrian or Egyptian hand, mostly in black ink on laid European paper with a watermark: three crescents. Half-bound.
