-
Extensively annotated notes with marginalia for sermons including advice on "la méthode de prêcher;" includes religious poetry, some with verses divided by double lines.
- Note
-
Full bound dark brown mottled leather, raised bands, gilt spine with ornaments, marbled endpapers with scalloped orange borders on pastedowns, vestiges of clasps; back free endpaper wanting, rubbed, corners bumped, many pages loose, some foxing.
Two leaves inserted before front free endpaper, next page glued over front free endpaper; index written on verso of front free endpaper in three columns; vestiges of a bookplate that has been peeled off the center column of the index; a small oval engraving has been pasted at the head of page 390.
Written in a crowded script, mostly by one hand; miniscule marginalia probably in a different hand; numbered sequentially by hand for the bulk of the manuscript; many parts are written in double columns
