- Summary
-
This report describes a broad investigation whicb has been made of the subject of solar cell measurements. A portable tester has been designed and built which will enable an operator to determine the output of a solar cell power supply in space by analyzing output under conditions existing at either laboratory or field test sites. painstaking experimentation and analysis of many alternatives has resulted in recommended optimum instrumentation and procedures for measuring solar cells and for performing the calibrations required. Calibrated primary standard solar cells have been provided in terms of their absolute spectral response. Data has been accumulated on the operational parameters of many solar cells using optimized measurement procedures.
