An epitome and commentary on the first book of the Canon of Avicenna written in the form of aphorisms (fusūl) and hence usually titled Kitāb al-Fusūl of Īlāqīyah (al-Īlāqī's aphorisms) or Kitāb al-Asbāb wa-al-'alāmāt (The book of causes and symptoms).
