All but 5 pieces have a single song on a sheet; the sheets have borders ranging from simple patterns to floral designs and elaborate vignettes. The sheet for "My Grand-mother's advice" has a hand-colored vignette border identified as "Border-The clown." One vignette border for sheets from H. De Marsan Company is signed "Sparks" (S.Parks?). The largest broadside, "Martz's Choice Collection of Popular Songs" (46x32 cm.) has a head-and-shoulders vignette (signed "Dyers") of Martz at the center head with 10 songs printed below in four columns within an ornamental border.
