Collection of original letters by Bkaʼ-blon Bshad-sgra (pages 2-52), addessed to various lamas, ministers, chieftains, etc., and obtained by Das while in Tibet in 1881-1882; also includes letters partly composed and partly compiled by Bla-ma Shes-rab-rgya-mtsho, head lama of Ghoom Monastery, near Darjeeling, (pages 54-72); and a popular letter-writing manual for business and ordinary correspondence, which was obtained by Mr. A.W. Paul, Political officer with the Sikkim Expedition of 1888.
