Summary

The environment surrounding Mound Laboratory was monitored, and the results for the first half of 1973 are reported. The average concentrations of polonium-210, plutonium-238, and tritium measured in air and water samples were well within the stringent standards adopted by the Atomic Energy Comission and the Environmental Protection Agency. The results of the analyses of foodstuffs and soil samples for radioactive species, as well as the results of the analyses of all samples for nonradioactive species, will be presented in the year-end Annual Environmental Monitoring Report.
