- Summary
-
The present paper contains an existence and uniqueness theorem for the singular Cauchy problem for the non-homogenous Euler-Poisson-Darboux equation in two space variables (this includes as a special case, the gas dynamically interesting case of a single space variable). The solution of this problem is used to prove, by Picard's method of successive approximation, an existence and uniqueness theorem for the singular Cauchy problem for a related equation.
