Includes reproduction of a pictographic chronicle, or "calendar," of events in Kiowa history, those for 1832-1866 recorded by Chief Dohasan and those for 1866-1892 by his nephew, also named Dohasan; with explanatory notes compiled in 1896 by James Mooney.
Based on material prepared by Vera-Mae Fredrickson, with the collaboration of Albert B. Elsasser, to accompany the exhibit "Treasures of the Lowie Museum," held in 1968.
