520 ‡aA preliminary study was made of several analytical techniques used to deduce profiles of integrated liquid water content (LWC). Comparison was made with aircraft and/or radar measurements for two sets of cases in order to determine if one or more of the modeling techniques would consistently yield more representative values than the others over a period of time. A brief description of the techniques used and the results of the statistical analyses applied to this study are presented. Also, a comparison of the integrated LWC for each case at the 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 kilometer and surface levels is presented in tabular form.
