505 0 ‡aLanguage analysis as a modern fetish -- An analysis of language as a study of grammar -- A philosophy of language analysis as a theory of scientific knowledge -- An empirical analysis as a philosophy of religion -- Empirical analysis as anti-theological -- The projection beyond experience -- Interpretations as constructs -- Interpretations stated in symbols -- Faith in knowledge-claims -- The criterion of religious knowledge-claims.
520 ‡aOne conviction motivating this essay is that one source of today's skepticism toward religious faith, and religious institutions, is the current empiricist theories of language which enjoy such widespread popularity.
