- Summary
-
The report discusses the results of tests performed at the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), Green River, Utah site to determine the accuracy of the existing 10-gram, 30-gram, and 100-gram balloon rate-of-rise tables. The analysis presented is based on data collected from 265 flights over the periods August-September, 1967 and August-September, 1968. The tests indicate that either the existing rate-of-rise tables need revising, or an adjustment to the balloons' Free Lift/Nozzle Lift requirements appears necessary. (Author).
