Illustrations: twenty-five plates depicting stage decoration and sceneries designed by Lodovico Burnacini, all engraved by Mathäus Küsel, except the first: dedication by Francesco Sbarra, calligraphy by Alexandere Riottus, enclosed within elaborate architectural border, engraved by Melchior Küsel and dated 1667; and the last depicting the audience seated in the auditorium of the theater where the opera was performed, including the Imperial couple and all other spectators, with explanatory text in lower margin, drawn and engraved by Francesco Gessels.
Prepared for the wedding festivities, the opera was not performed until July 1668 when a new theatre was completed.
