Reissue of Jan Schipper's Amsterdam ed. of 1661. The type setting, ill. and ornaments are identical, with only the printer's name on the engraved t.p. changed. It therefore seems likely that the present work appeared in 1661 or soon after, rather than in 1688, the conjectural date given by Praz. First ed. published 1624, with 2nd ed. in 1636, despite edition statement in present work. See Landwehr.
