"Julius Golcius fe. 1581" appears on the second no. 6 plate.
Of the preliminary leaves, the t.p., a port. of Boissard, and of two dedicatees are engraved. Letterpress, roman, italic, surrounds Boissard's port. and Caspar Rutz' remarks are in roman, italic and gothic, concluding "Coloniae."
Historiated title is set off in each corner by a continental name: Europa, Africa, Asia, America.
