- Summary
-
The purpose of this monograph is to present an analysis of all the factors that determine the susceptibility of a radar altimeter to a false indication of height because of rain clouds. This analysis will be precise enough and general enough to determine whether any altimeter is safe from this effect. If this check should reveal a doubtful condition, the analysis shows how much the transmitter frequency should be decreased.
