- Summary
-
"The original purpose of this research was to investigate the possibility of building an electrostatic particle size discriminator. We went beyond this objective and have worked out theoretically and experimentally a new method for determination of particle size distribution by settling charged aerosol particles in an electrostatic field. Two further methods based on gravitational and centrifugal settling of charged aerosol particles were developed theoretically"--p.1, 1954/1955.
