Note: First print is etched title, with an angel at head and the instruments of the apostles' martyrdoms at foot, gathered with Christ's crown of thorns. The 2nd print depicts Christ, the 3rd depicts the Virgin. Prints 1-13 depict the Apostles and St. Paul.
The final thirteen prints of the present suite bear the numbers 1-13 that were added by Jacques Fagnani early in the 18th century; see Lieure. Some leaves show sections of the Maltese cross watermark that appears in etchings by Callot as printed by Fagnani (Lieure, filigrane no. 61).
