Summary

An X-ray diffraction study was made of the ternary system U-Al-O, and the phase-equilibrium diagram was found to be very simple. No phases were observed which did not occur in the three related binaries. Furthermore, no evidence was found of solid solutions between Al₂O₃ and uranium oxides.
