The etchings by Mathieu Greuter depict the "Giuoco dell combattimento del ponte", Maria Maddalena's entrée into Florence, and the wedding banquet. Vinet (Bibliographie méthodique et raisonnée des beaux-arts, 608) writes that this work is generally accompanied by 5 etchings (rather than 3); they may not have been originally issued with this work, as they are dedicated to 5 different persons. The subjects of the 2 additional etchings are the equestrian "Balo e giostra de' venti"; and the "Argonautica," the aquatic spectacle on the Arno.
