520 ‡aThe adventures of five brothers and sisters growing up in rural England in the late nineteenth century. The Golden Age is a collection of reminiscences by Kenneth Grahame, the Scottish author of Wind in the Willows. Grahame's novel, widely successful upon publication, uses Greek mythology to explore the relationship between childhood and adulthood. In this title, children are described as being constantly engaged in a struggle with adults who have entirely forgotten what it means to be young.
