Three sequences of emblems, each numbered I-XV, and an initial emblem. They are copies, mostly reversed and in places simplified, of those by Boëce van Bolswert for the original Antwerp ed. of 1624. Four engravings signed in the plate by Monbard.
Facing title is engraving of the coats of arms of Abbot Bernard Campman and his abbey Dunen. It appeared in the 1629 Dutch translation of Pia desideria published in Antwerp, which was dedicated to Campman.
Preface signed A.D.C.M.J.
Censors' approvals dated July 1683.
