The text describes triumphal arches erected in the streets of Naples, decorated with emblems and allegories of virtues associated with each of the twelve zodiacal signs and celebrating Antonio Alvarez di Toledo, Duke of Alba. The arch associated with the sign of Gemini was made of foods. The illustrations depict triumphal arches, zodiacal signs, allegorical figures, numerous emblems, and portraits of several of the Dukes of Alba.
