Summary

The aerodynamic characteristics of nontwisted-rotor-blade turbines are approximately those of free-vortex turbines intended for similar application for values of hub-tip-radius that are used in current turbines.
An analytical evaluation is made of the aerodynamic characteristics of turbines with nontwisted rotor blades by comparison with the corresponding characteristics of free-vortex turbines. Working charts for aid in design of nontwisted-rotor-blade turbines are presented.
