520 3 ‡aSamples of small cast AMS 5385 turbine blades, solution-treated for 1/2 hour at 2100, 2250, and 2350 degrees F and then aged for 48 hours at 1500 degrees F were operated at an estimated temperature of 1500 degrees F with a centrifugal stress of 20,000 pounds per square inch at the expected failure zone.
