The Guang yun (also called Da Song chong xiu guang yun), compiled under Imperial auspices in 1011 by Chen Pengnian and others, was based on the qie yun, originally compiled by Lu Fayan in 601, annotated by Zhang Sun Na Yan in 677 and republished by Sun Mian under the title Tang yun in 751.
Published to accompany the editor's Guang yun jiao kan ji (Shanghai, 1938), additions and corrections to which are included.
Facsimile reproduction, with marginal corrections by the editor, of the edition published by Zhang Shichun in his ze cun tang wu zhong between 1704 and 1714, with t.p. reading: Song ben guang yun.
