520 ‡aThe use of Westinghouse 'micro-flash' X-ray equipment for routine investigations has shown the need of a device for measuring the relative integrated intensity of each X-ray pulse. To satisfy this need we have developed two types of ionization chambers whose voltage outputs are proportional to the integrated intensity of a single X-ray pulse, provided the spectral distribution of the X-rays remains reasonably constant. The electronic circuits required to operate a recording meter are described.
