Aerial View of Frankford Township Sections 13, 14, 23 and 24 shows farmland, trees, roads and homes. The ghost town of Frankford, the County Seat in Mower County's early years before it was stolen and taken to Austin, is located on the south side of Section 13. The Frankford School District 16 was located on Section 13. Federal Highway 63 travels south from Racine to intersect with County Road 16 that travels east to west between Spring Valley, Fillmore County, and Grand Meadow, Mower County. The Frankford Cemetery rests on Section 24 a short distance north of State Highway 16.
