The author in his reply to an invitation to attend the convention of the League to enforce peace, Philadelphia, May 16-18, 1918, urges that "the people of all religious faiths dwellling in the several church districts of the country should fortify their souls daily by following the example set for them by the people of Verbena, Alabama," who pray publicly each day "God bless our President, our soliders, our nation, and guide them to victory."
