Summary

The reactions of lithium borohydride and sodium trimethoxyborohydride with B¹⁰-enriched boron trifluoride were studied. The isotopic composition of the resulting diborane was determined mass-spectrometrically, and the various possible mechanisms consistent with the experimental results were discussed.
