Colophon reads: So ends the story of Madeline, which has been printed by the Prairie Press in the city of Chicago, in the month of April, 1906, and the type distributed, and sold by Walter M. Hill in the Marshall Field Building. Of this first edition, with a special title page from a design drawn by Ralph Fletcher Seymour, two hundred and fifty numbered copies (1-250) have been done on Van Gelder handmade paper, and fifteen numbered copies (I-XV) on imperial Japanese vellum.
