Concurrent German editions were published 1824-1872. The Ohio Synod became independent of the Eastern Synod of the German Reformed Church (U.S.) in 1819. It joined with the Eastern Synod in 1863 to form the General Synod of the German Reformed Church (U.S.) which became in 1869 the Reformed Church in the United States. Each Synod continued to publish the proceedings of their annual conferences while General Synod proceedings were held and published every triennium. First English edition published in 1826. (Cf.
