Binding: Boards covered in textured black cloth with black leather over spine (quarter binding) ; pastedowns and flyleaves in wove paper printed with a floral vegetal pattern in pink and green ; spine gold-stamped with title and decorative accents over raised bands "الغائب المفقود للاشارات" ; overall in fairly good condition.
Support: Wove paper.
Decoration: Text fully rubricated (i.e. executed entirely in red ink).
Script: Ruqʻah ; quick, compact hand in a medium line ; serifless and freely ligatured with effect of inclination to the left and of words descending to baseline, mainly closed counters, pointing somewhat careless and in strokes rather than distinct dots, final yāʼ usually unpointed ; opening leaves in a more carefully executed naskh with elements of ruqʻah.
Layout: Written in 10-12 lines per page.
Collation: Pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization.
Explicit: "قد عرفت اصناف المقدمات في مواضعها النمط الثامن في البهجة والسعادة"
