Careful copy of a concise selection of commentaries on Shihāb al-Dīn Yaḥyá ibn Ḥabash al-Suhrawardī's (d.1191) Hayākil al-nūr, opening with excerpts from Jalāl al-Dīn al-Dawānī's (d.1502 or 3) Shawākil al-ḥūr.

Binding: Boards covered in dark green cloth with dark green leather over spine (quarter binding) ; pastedowns and flyleaves in wove paper printed with a floral vegetal pattern in green ; spine gold-stamped with title and decorative accents over raised bands "تلخيص شروح هياكل النور | السهروردى | J.H.D." ; sewing difficult to examine ; stuck-on endbands (blue and white stripe) ; overall in fairly good condition.

Script: Naskh with influence of ruqʻah ; compact modern hand in a thin to medium line ; serifless and freely ligatured with effect of inclination to the left, curvilinear descenders, pointing in strokes rather than distinct dots, final yāʼ usually unpointed.
Layout: Written mainly in 33-41 lines per page.
Collation: Pagination in black ink, Hindu-Arabic numerals ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization.
Explicit: "اي من الحواس الباطنة القوة الفكرية المرتبة في البطن الاوسط من الدماغ وهي التي بها التركيب والتفصيل والاستنباط"
