OSd) and pendants, along with tooled rule border ; sewn in cream thread, two stations, many threads broken ; manuscript 'waste' guards on many bifolia ; worked chevron endbands in light green and cream, fairly good condition ; overall in somewhat poor condition with some abrasion, staining, lower board severely compromised (failure of the adhesive, full delamination and losses of pasteboard material) and now quite soft, cover detached at spine with most gatherings loose, etc. ; housed in box for protection.
Support: non-European (likely Persian or Indian) laid paper, possibly of more than one type ; mainly with 6-7 laid lines per cm. (vertical, curving) and chain lines faintly visible, possibly in occasional groups (horizontal) ; opposite orientation of laid and chain lines in many central bifolia (i.e. the central bifolium of many gatherings) ; beige in color, quite transluscent, sturdy, well-burnished (burnisher's marks visible), cloudy formation, inclusions ; some staining and tide lines ; flyleaves and some repairs in European laid (with three crescents watermark) and wove paper ; some repairs and fills in non-European (likely Persian or Indian laid paper).
