"These strips originally appeared in the Willamette Week in Portland, Oregon and also in Seattle Weekly, each for a bit over a year. They also ran in the New York Press for a short time, and appeared on the Open Prairie Syndicate and Comikazee websites. The strips on pages 54 and 55 were created for the exhibit "Picturing the Modern Amazon" that appeared in the New Museum of Contemporary Art [in New York, N.Y.] from March 30 to July 2, 2000. These same two strips and many other images of powerful women are in their book [i.e., the exhibition catalog], with the same title."
