Gender-based wage discrimination :
hearing of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, United States Senate, One Hundred Sixth Congress, second session, on examining the Bureau of Labor Statistics report which provides a full picture of the gender-based wage gap, the reasons for these gaps and the impact this discrimination has on women and families, and the effectiveness of current laws and proposed legislative solutions, and S. 74, amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide more effective remedies to victims of discrimination in the payment of wages on the basis of sex, June 8, 2000.
