Vol. 2, printed, like the other 3 vols., with the long s, and with a leaf of "corrections and additions" at end, differs in these and other particulars from a later printing, also dated 1782, but printed with the modern s, as in the 2d edition of v. 1.
First edition. A 2d edition of v. 1 was published in 1789.
Some of the musical illustrations are engraved.
With vol. 4 is bound the author's An account of the musical performance in Westminister-abbey, and the Pantheon ... in commemoration of Handel ... London, 1785.
