- Summary
-
This report presents the results of a historical review and water quality survey of the St. Clair and Detroit Rivers. It includes a three-dimensional, steady-state model for the Detroit River, which will allow for the projection of future water quality based on the results of various management schemes for the Detroit Area. The historical survey illustrates a gradual upgrading of water quality in the region over the past decade, as a result of pollution abatement programs. The water quality surveys performed have provided heretofore lacking or dated information with regards to the biological communities and sediment chemistry.--Page v.
