Report of the proceedings of a convention composed of delegates from the thirteen original United States, held in Independence hall on Monday the fifth and Tuesday the sixth of July, 1852, for the purpose of considering the propriety of erecting one or more monuments in Independence square, Philadelphia, in commemoration of the Declaration of independence, July 4, 1776, and in honor of the signers thereof, in accordance with a preamble and resolutions submitted by A. G. Waterman, esq., of the select council, and adopted by both branches of councils September 25, 1851.
