Each copy is signed by the author."--p. [ii].
Subsequently issued as "second printing, September, 1922". Bound in brown cloth with colored stamping on cover, lacking preliminary statement. Unsigned.

"On a table ... were pipes and boxes of tobacco, cigars in a glass jar, and a big Chinese bowl full of cigarettes"--p. 40; with several other references to tobacco.
